This is what my yarn dreams are made of! We were on our road trip to Acadia when I spotted this store, and my husband had to make a u-turn after a couple of minutes. Let me tell you, it didn't disappoint at all. My only complaint is that we didn't stop there again on the way back. Huge store with great selection of those universal workhorse yarns, as well as some local gems. Super friendly staff, I could just chat away with the lovely lady on the cashier. She gave me the tip to use vacumbags to really maximize my little luggage, and that was a game changer for all the holiday shopping I did, including the yarn purchases, of course. Every vacation for my husband and I is a sort of “yarn crawl”. I have been to many independent shops in more than a few countries. The Yarn Seller stands out as one of the very best. The customer service was fantastic. I had a very knowledgeable woman who “played” with me as I worked my way around the shop. I am sure for an independent type you would be welcome to hours of exploring alone, but for me it was great to have a “fiber buddy” who discussed the pros and cons of different yarns.
