Sun Theatre — Local services in York

Be sure if you are using filled punch cards and are bringing kids, to have the kids come through first and pay separately, or they will use the free pass for the kids admission and charge full price for the adults. We came through with our kids, nieces and nephews from out of town and used 4 free passes and paid for 6 tickets (4 adult price) and they wouldn't budge on them being used for the kids' tickets. Apparently that's their "policy", but it's nowhere in writing. Movies are expensive enough, so we save these passes for occasions when we have extra kids with us and the extra $2 per ticket difference on 4 adult tickets was basically the same as buying an extra adult ticket. Basically, you have to jump through hoops to get the better deal when they should just give you the better deal and be glad you are bringing an additional 5 kids from out of town that would have gone to see the movie in their own town had we not...

Loved the upgrade of the screening rooms themselves, but agree with others that the combining of the tickets & concessions was a huge mistake! It's way too crowded and no longer any room for an actual line of more than a few people before you're stuck waiting outside. Especially with taking our kids with, it makes things very frustrating usually with all the other families there. I wish they would return to the old set up for the entrance so we can get our tickets quickly then move over to the concessions if we want any or would rather get our...

We love going to the Sun Theater in York we've been going there for about 10 years however we were disappointed when we went and saw Star Wars on Dec 18 as there oversold the movie and we had to sit on the steps my husband and are in good shape but we are in our 50s we asked if there were going to be enough seats they said yes but we may not get to set next to each other well there was about 30 people sitting on the floor in the back walk way and on the steps no seats what so ever what If there would have...
