Food was good but service was AMAZING! Randomly in town and needed dinner - pulled up options and this popped up. Upon arrival it was dark and at first I was concerned it was a smaller place or more of a bar - totally false!! It’s a great restaurant filled with booths and tables.
Immediately greeted and sat by the hostess, our server came over and was SO kind! All night he helped us home our Spanish with such patience - counting, ordering, etc. He had such a lovely smile and attitude, everything came out promptly, he was so attentive the entire meal. We never were waiting on anything at all. Cannot day enough good things about the service!
I have been to over 15 different states this year on trips and eat at all sorts of restaurants, from $ to $$$$ and this was top 5 for enjoyment and overall satisfaction with serving staff. You’ve guys got a great guy on your team!!!
Chips came out hot and fresh, salsa came in a carafe with small dishes so we didn’t have to double dip - a bonus since I was sick. He brought me extra hot salsa when he heard I liked spicy food and it was delicious!!! My cheese dip was exactly what I wanted - not so thick it needs a fork and knife, not watered down and runny. Major yum.
I ordered the largest, mixed fajita option and it was quite a fun production - it came out in a large pig bowl! It was everything I wanted, the only draw back being it was quite oily. But that was the only negative I can think of! I scarfed it down.
If I am ever in the area again I am coming back...
Read moreI'm originally from Connecticut, and I also lived in California and Washington on the West Coast. Food is much better on the coasts and South than it is in the Midwest. Sorry not sorry I'm just speaking facts. However this restaurant in particular hit the nail on the head. I don't know if it was because it was mother's day or what, like McDonald's there's a Mexican restaurant in almost every town/city that you go to, but out of the 3 years living in Nebraska this one definitely is my favorite. Their menu is vast, the food is arguably good. I didn't sit down, but I did order to go, but while waiting I can see that it was clearly busy (mothers day) and the staff kept cool and was friendly. The lady that took my order was genuine. She wasn't fake friendly like all restaurants or customer service people are or a fake smile that they have to put on, she took my order told me how long it will take and the food came out sooner than what she told me. I really can't get over how good the food is. I dont leave reviews often, but when i do its because people need to know and its important. If you're ever in York, NE and you crave Mexican and you want it done right, then come...
Read moreFood wasn't very good, and way overpriced. It's definitely an Americanised take on Mexican food, so if you're looking for more authentic keep looking. The spacing of the tables leaves NO room for yourself or the table next to you that you will no doubt make contact with since they are placed so close together. The atmosphere was terrible. It was very loud, so you can't even talk to someone right next to you without raising your voice, and on top of that they play music very loud. I don't know, maybe it was just cranked up the day I was there, but bottomline- it was too loud. I will not be going back. Next time I'll just get taco bell and save a bunch of money and still be able to talk to the people I go with. It says it all when we were leaving and they came by and asked if we wanted the food we didn't eat wrapped up to take...
