United States Postal Service — Local services in Zachary

If I could I would give this branch zero stars. There have been NUMEROUS times that our mail has not come at all. We have had mail in our mailbox with the flag out, same with others in our neighborhood and it is still there 24 hours later. I asked for our mail to be held while we were on vacation and it was never held (filled out the form requesting this). We came home to a completely full mailbox. We have had our mail SOAKING wet as if it has been dropped in the street or sitting outside in the rain (and it's not the mailbox due to other times it's been a downpour and everything in the mailbox is bone dry). Thankfully our neighbors are honest people because there have been packages of ours delivered to the wrong house and not just the house next door. Houses that are completely on the opposite side of the neighborhood from ours.

I have gone into this branch a few times to pick up stamps, mail packages, etc and the service has been horrible. They don’t care that the office is a complete mess, that there are no packages in certain sizes so then using a bigger package you’re paying more to ship an item. You will stand and wait while they just leave the counter, not even acknowledging you and then when they do come back, they’re acting annoyed that they have to do their job. It...

Since there isn’t an option for ZERO, I had no choice but to give them one star. This is by far the WORST postal branch ever! These people have lost 2 of my packages and are refusing to reimburse me! My claims are being denied! When you call, they ask you for information to so call track the package/locate it, and each time they fail to call you back. I have to call them numerous times due to my work schedule since I’m unable to appear in person. Honestly, I don’t think they even attempt to find it. The clerk Kathy was very rude towards me. She had the audacity to yell at me when clearly it was the carrier’s mistake! My first package was delivered to a home when clearly it stated on the address I live in an apartment. My second package they claim was delivered, but where? I surely don’t have it! It’s very agitating! If I order things now, and I see or suspect USPS as the method of delivery, I immediately ship it to my parent’s home! I never have an issue receiving orders that come from other delivery companies . I would give them negative stars if that was an option. I tried to get my son passport prices started on Friday. Well they don’t take walk ins. )How should we know, the sign on the door says walk in to get passport). There is no one else there at that time but ok cool, we make an appointment for Monday at 9.
