My mother and I called ahead to ask what time the restaurant closed. They told us 9pm. This was a Monday night which was the regular time they closed. No problem. We arrived at 8:28pm and we told them we would need a table for 2. They then began to inform us that they were not seating anymore because the kitchen was trying to clean up and close. My family visits here often at the location in Zachary. I told the hostess that I just called and asked the time they closed. She began to tell me they were taking take out orders. I am a manager by profession and if I told my employees that we were going to shut down early because we wanted to get out early; that is COMPLETELY UNEXCEPTABLE!!! Period. Bad bad customer service. Then I ask to speak to a manager on duty and they tell m she left for the night. They gave me her number where she could be reached and I do plan on calling and voicing my concerns. My family spends an abundance of money when dining at their restaurant. They tip very very well. So depending on what the outcome will be when I speak to the floor manager will be the deciding factor if we will continue to dine there or not. The food is always on point. However my opinion is that if you don’t have great customer service then you won’t get my money. My suggestion is if you do call and plan on dining in, be specific as you can when you talk to the staff. Make sure they are seating and serving people at their REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS. I don’t know if I’ll...
Read moreLet me start by saying i'm a nice person. I give reviews when reviews are deserved. This particular restaurant deserves every syllable of my review. Today I decided I wanted a Gyro Sandwich. Since I live in Zachary, La I decided to eat here. When I called to place my order the person who took my order paused for a long time when I asked her if I could have fries with my Gyro. She said, "sorry I was writing down your name". Because we all know how difficult it is to write down the name "Sam". During this short conversation, I had to ask her twice, "are you there?" Once I placed my order, She simply hung up. No goodbye, no thank you.
When I came to pick up my order, She told me I'd have to wait for change for a $20. I waited 3 minutes. When she came back , she handed me five 1 dollar bills. I was pretty sure I heard her say it was $14.46. I asked her how much it was again and she told me it was "14 dollars and something cents". I was dumbfounded. I didn't say keep the change, I didn't tip her that's for sure but she kept the change. Over fifty cents that I didn't get back. I couldn't do anything to walk out I was so shocked.
And here's the part where i'm going to sound mean: I don't know if these person(s) were rude or illiterate but this was the worst customer service i've ever received at any restaurant. I doubt very seriously if they'll care but I won't...

Tips should not “automatically” be charged. I did NOT want the tip to automatically charge to my card. Now, I'm not sure if my card has been “secretly” charged a tip every time. Two extra very small feta cups was $5. Usually we get a bigger cup of feta. Now the “big” cups of feta are $3 a piece. Truly ridiculous. You have to get extra feta even though its a “feta salad,” because its very minimal feta. No bread included. Salads are half of what it should be… wow, highway robbery here. You don't get what you pay for. Managers are no help. Only good thing is the good tubberware, which I guess you are paying for. We visit frequently and often told different things each time… I guess it depends on the manager? Won't be returning anytime soon.
