This is a must-visit location to see in Mainpat. Located about 5-10km from Karma Ethenic Resort where I was staying, the place is worth an experience particularly for youngsters & kids. The last 20-50mtr of the approach road is really narrow and steep but still comfortable to go with your own vehicle.
The main attraction of the place is that there is a marshy land covered with hard & stable top-soil which acts as a thick carpet on the marshy land. While jumping, we can experience the entire floor shaking like a trampoline & giving us a thrill. There appears to have a few hollow pockets below the ground and when air is blown inside through some hole into these pockets, one can hear conch-like sound (we saw an old local doing it to get donations).
Besides the above, there are a few 'tapris' selling Maggie, chips, water, tea, biscuits etc at the entry gate in the parking area. One can get these refreshments there.
Restrooms and hand-pumps are also available. But don't expect it to be very clean considering that services were for free.
Besides the above, there were a few vendors offering ATV & toys
-car rides for the kids. Some vendors were present with their mule to offer kids a short ride for Rs.50/- per kid.

The other attraction in MAINPAT here you find the Uchhalti Zameen which is actually a spounzy surface. If you jump on the ground it will feel like mattress. Nice to see that kind of place. Entry fee Rs 20-30

A place with amazing natural phenomenon where water flows up the gradient, vehicles rolls upward (with engines off and in neutral). There are few scientific explanations to this available in the net but whatever may be the explanations in theory, the happenings under real eye is extraordinary.
This is one of the most viewed locations of Mainpat. The view from the hilltop is also excellent. The nature has gifted this place with everything beautiful and amazing.
The location is 10 kms from Mainpat town centre. Some small stalls with fruits, tea and snacks are also available here.
A parking fee of Rs.30.00 is applicable but entry is free.
Highly recommended.

Very nice Place.
There is a small well here, from where water comes out and goes upwards.
When water moves from bottom to top,So that is called 'Ultapani'. The name of the place where this incident occurs is 'Bisarpani'.
On this small hill the vehicle also moves upwards in a closed state.
We experimented with this on the bike.We took our bike down the small hill.Kept the gear free, facing downwards. So our bike started going down towards the top automatically. We enjoyed this place a lot.

This place has a unique natural feature. It is claimed that vehicles roll uphill if put in neutral. I did not verify this. However, there is a narrow and shallow stream of water which flows uphill defying gravity. My kid put a metallic boat in the stream and it sailed up with the stream. Really interesting and a must-visit location in Mainpat.
There are a few temporary shops over there selling sweet potatoes, sprout salads, cucumber, lai (puffed rice and jaggery laddoo) etc. One can enjoy few hours there.

I never believed such a place would exist for real.
The road leading to this place is super awesome and full of picturesque views. Then you’ll find a sign board that mentions उल्टापानी .
You have move a few steps down to see a thin little stream going up the hill. Seiously, the stream goes uphill 😂
I was astonished to see it.
Plus the views 😘😍 putting all of himachal to shame.
There a few food joints and also Gadh Kalewa but they were not open when we visited. They open at around 10 o clock.

Our mother earth is full of surprises and this is one of them. It is not an illusion but a true fact that the small water line is flowing upstream against nature. Even cars or vehicles are riding towards the uphill when switched off and kept in neutral gear. The government should put some explanation display board nearby. Otherwise, in the coming days, some Unaothorised persons will put a spiritual tag and claim money from common people.

Picturesque. Natural beauty. But no guidance from any local governing body. Need vigilance as the place has very rocky structure all around. Emergency and medical facility should be provided by goverment bodies. Good tourist and picnic spot.
As usual our great public are polluting the beautiful place with plastic and waste.

If you are hard enough to reach the place without getting in problem with your vehicle then the place is as awesome as they come. Beautiful waterfall, a full family picnic spot and to add to the beauty "The Hills". Just watch out the roads are under constructed so tread carefully. Cheerios!!

According to me, this is a very good place for picnic. One can come here with family. The only thing is that the road to reach here is not good. If the government pays attention to the road, then this is a good tourist place nearby. The waterfall here is worth seeing.
