First thought 'definitely not worth the ride'. Sorry, but its how i felt. Its a one time visit spot. Plus the distance it lies from the main city is obviously the down side. For the locals to go there as evening meet up may be the actual utilization of the spot. However, if you planning to go and visit the place just because you saw it on social media, don't keep your hopes high. There is much more that should be added to actually boost it as a tourist destination. Plus the easy access to river down there, may add up to your fun, but its damn risk considering the diversity of animals found in the river and the forest. All things said, its a perfect place for you to fill up your social media feeds, esp. Insta and tiktok. And trust me, photos do come good with the backdrop the place provides. Still There is much more could be done.

Umbrella street is a great concept to attract tourists, it actually looks like a little undercover street that leads you to the River. There are a few of places where you'd want to take photos. I took my kids there and spent around 15-20 minutes as there's not a lot to do unless you're hungry. If you are they seems to have resorts and Street foods on both sides. I gave four stars because the place needs a little more maintenance and cleaning (some umbrellas are missing and there were a lot of cobwebs in it.

One of the easiest and quick tourism destinations in Chitwan. Located at Rapti river bank near Patihani, this place is being quite popular specially among local visitors. Umbrella shed, river bank, sunrise sunset view, eating, photography and children entertainment facilities are available here. I have visited several times, you should also visit at least once👍👍 As of Oct 20, 2021, currently parking ticket is 20 NPR for two wheelers and 25 rupees entry fees for adults here.

Umbrella Street in Patihani, Chitwan, is a beautiful and fun place to visit! The colorful umbrellas hanging above make it look so pretty and perfect for photos. It’s a great spot to walk around, relax, and spend time with friends or family. Also, they offer discounts for students with ID cards, which is a great bonus. There are also small cafes and shops nearby to enjoy. A must-visit if you’re in Chitwan!

Nice picture taking place, in the bank of Rapti river, local cultural restaurants, There is picture taking service available, chairs and table to sit under the umbrella. Few water fountains which is really good. Despite of all of those things.. there is not much activity to do. You can spend maximum few hours there.
