"Who on earth says Nordic food is good???"

...Okay fine, it’s actually delicious 😋 (Sorry for the clickbait!) Check out what 4 people ate in Norway & Iceland over 8 days for under 4,000 RMB total (less than 1k per person)! Prices below are the total for our orders. 📍 🇮🇸 Reykjavik – Caruso 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ordered: Lobster 🦞, lamb chops, risotto The lobster was tender—another table of Chinese diners highly recommended it. The bread? TOO GOOD. Three dishes were enough for four light eaters. Arrived past 1pm, so it was quiet. 📍 🇳🇴 Lofoten – Bacalao 🌟🌟🌟 Ordered: Classic fish soup, reindeer burger, mussels Fish soup is their specialty, but it’s made with salted/dried fish (got too salty). Burger and mussels were average. Worth it for the price though! 📍 🇳🇴 Oslo – Shanghai 2k18 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ordered: Di San Xian (stir-fried trio), Sichuan pepper chicken SORRY NOT SORRY—I’m weak for Chinese food. Almost cried eating rice 🍚 after so long. Best Di San Xian ever? Portions were huge—two dishes could feed three. We took leftovers! 📍 🇳🇴 Tromsø – McDonald’s 🌟🌟🌟 Ordered: 2 combos + convenience store pizza & hot dogs Just here for the "northernmost MCD" badge. Pricier, but portions are bigger. PSA: Skip MCD—across the street, two giant pizzas + two hot dogs = 80 RMB!!! (No pics, we devoured it.) 📍 🇮🇸 Reykjavik – Brauð & Co. cinnamon roll (🌟🌟🌟🌟 "World’s best cinnamon roll"? Had to try. Freshly baked, crispy outside, perfect spice—price similar to China’s artisanal bakeries. (Just too much powdered sugar for me.) Other meals = Airbnb cooking & instant noodles. 📍 🇳🇴 Rema 1000 supermarket Must-try: Yogurt rice pudding (we ate 20+ cups). Salmon tasted "off" to me (maybe used to Japanese sashimi?). Survival tip: Frozen pizza (50 RMB)—just toss it in the oven. 📍 🇮🇸 Bónus Cheaper than Norway! Example: Coke = 20 RMB in Norway vs. 10 RMB here. Pro tip: Bring curry powder from home for easy one-pot meals. Biggest regret: Missing the famous "black pizza" due to crowds. #GlobalEats #NordicFood #Iceland #NorwayTravel #FoodDiary
