Good Chinese food in downtown. But not great and not authentic as other reviewers claimed, definitely steered on sweeter as another reviewer said.
Mapu tofu with beef- About 300kr, very good portion size, 3 pepper icon was legit spicy- actually borderline too spicy for both of us. The issue was that it wasn't quite authentic in taste- the meat was a bit sweet and there were no Sichuan peppercorns. It just felt like they made it too spicy to make up for the flavors that it should provide. Mala dry pot with beef- about 400kr, smaller portion, mostly beef with a hot pot sauce, 3 pepper icon though not as spicy as the tofu which is odd. There were some vegetables like carrot, zucchini and onion but nothing like the one picture we saw posted years ago with lotus root and other Asian veggies. It didn't taste sweet but it was one dimensional. Since it was mostly beef maybe that justifies the smaller size bowl but just eating beef isn't interesting. Crispy egg plant with too much coriander- about 300kr, not spicy and very sweet. I am a huge fan of egg plant and almost got the garlic sauce instead but all the reviewers said it was the best so I had to try it. We actually thought it was too crispy and didn't have flavor on its own. The soggier pieces at the bottom were better but even still, the sauce was too sweet. The egg plant was dried out from being too crispy which to me is a downside- I was hoping it would be a light crispy outter and juicy inner with spices and maybe a sauce on the side or something. I knocked the atmosphere down a star because the lights dimmed and brightened twice, the music was a bit like a kpop cafe and the it was too packed of furniture. The service was decent. The food came out really quickly which was nice. Also glutinous rice was included- it was a lot for 2 people.
Overall the food was fresh and good quality, however I wouldn't come back nor tell someone it's legit Sichuan flavors. I would suggest coming if you want Chinese food, but I've had better in many...

First waitress greeted and asked us how many people do we have. I told her that have 7 pax. She walked away looking clueless what she is supposed to do next. Doesn't matter. I trust that she's trained to do what she is suppose to do. After 3 mins, 2nd waitress came and ask (again) how many of us, I told them again (and I'm puzzled). Waited a couple more minutes. Another guy came and ask again (3rd time FFS, what is yiur problem?) THE SAME QUESTION. Now I asked them what is the problem and if they really want us or not. Then he got confused thinking that we have a problem. Got into a few exchange of words at least for we have to explain ourselves and I want to be sure that they know what they are doing. He got defensive. Sorry. I had to take my whole family out of the restaurant. You can't even get the first step right. Don't know how most of you guys here could give such good reviews. Maybe bad luck for us. I want to take back 1 star if I could.
First of all, you're not gonna get fantastic Chinese food in Norway. So if you're going to pay 200Kr for an average food, better expect an experience you cannot forget.

Your boss didn't explain that he is trying to make sure again. I asked him if he has a problem seating 7 of us. But the response from him is clearly defensive and passing his problem to us. Who was the first guest? It was clearly 7 of us coming in together and the first waitress saw it. You guys are cluesless. Your internal miscommunication is not the customers' problem. Get your act together. We came becuase we read good reviews here, but your customers service broke our confidence to...
Read moreWe came here because of the overall positive and volume of reviews. We asked for recommendations based around what people had ordered on the reviews - we ended up having the aubergine as a starter (which I ordered without it being recommended) which was quite good and original.
The recommendations were absolutely terrible. We had the sliced beef in chili oil which was really bad - tastes like cheap beef in slightly spicy bad soup, no salt or pepper. The chicken was also so bad and the vegetables all look the same - cut in the same way as you can tell from the reviews (probably frozen).
A tsing-tao bottle of beer took 15 minutes to arrive when I was literally the first table in front of the bar. No apologies - nothing. And of course it arrived after the starter was served.
Absolutely ridiculously expensive and bad. 1 starter, 1 beer, 1 cocktail, 2 mains = 1.4k Kr. As a comparison, we had fresh fish, starters, 2 mains and desert in Bergen for less than this in a really nice restaurant.
The beer was like freaking 18£ - are you okay?
I also doubt the hygiene. Just as another review has posted, the tap water turned brown after like 10minutes - see my picture.
Overall do not recommend at all. We definitely ordered wrong, but these were recommendations after all so… there’s many better...
