🍁 | Come Here for Autumn Colors—Less Crowded & Closer!
After feeling a bit let down by Shenandoah’s foliage last year, I wasn’t really up for another long drive to see fall leaves this season. But guess what? Black Hill Regional Park in Maryland totally surprised me with its autumn vibes! 🍂 The park wasn’t crowded at all, and parking was plentiful. We took a relaxing stroll along the lakeshore near the kayak rental area—the shimmering lake reflecting the rich red and golden leaves was absolutely dreamy 🌅🍁. With a gentle breeze and that perfect "autumnal maillard" vibe in the air, it was pure tranquility. There are several trailheads nearby—I’d hiked here once during the summer, and the shaded paths were super comfortable. But autumn? Even prettier! There’s also a big open lawn, a kids’ slide 🛝, and play areas. We saw lots of families having picnics and barbecues—perfect for a family day out! 👨👩👧👦 📍 Black Hill Regional Park 20930 Lake Ridge Dr, Boyds, MD 20841 Have you discovered any low-key fall color spots in the DMV?
