Every August, Seafair takes over Seattle as the highlight of summer, and one of the biggest attractions is the ✨Blue Angels airshow! If you’ve never experienced it, you HAVE to go at least once—watching these jets slice through the sky will give you goosebumps! 🤩 🔹 Best Navigation Destination: 📍 Luther Burbank Park - South Parking Lot 2040 84th Ave SE, Mercer Island, WA 98040 • Head south on Bellevue Way SE • Take I-90 West toward Seattle • Exit at Mercer Island, then follow 84th Ave SE south • The South Lot is bigger and closer to the main lawn & lakeside viewing spots ⸻ 🅿️ Parking Tips: • First choice: South Lot (fills up fast—arrive early!) • If full, try: • Luther Burbank Park North Lot • Street parking in nearby neighborhoods (watch for no-parking signs!) ⸻ 🎯 Best Viewing Strategy: • Walk toward the open grassy area by the lake (facing southwest) • The jets will fly toward you or skim the lake—perfect for photos + watching! 📸 • Shaded spots under trees go quick—send one person to claim a spot while the other parks! ⸻ 🧺 Must-Bring List: • Sunscreen, hat & sunglasses (trust me, you’ll need them!) ☀️ • Water & snacks (stay hydrated!) 💧 • Camera or wide-angle phone lens (you’ll want to capture EVERY moment!) • Kids’ ear protection (F-35Bs & Blue Angels are LOUD) 👶🔇 Note: This isn’t the official prime viewing spot, but it’s great for families who want to picnic + catch the show.
