🧜♀️Time to think outside the box and take advantage of free museums!
🐦We all know that the museums in Dallas aren’t the most exciting, but with this annual pass in hand, it would be a waste not to visit other museums. After all, with this card, other museums are free! I’ve been to the Houston Children’s Museum, which was great, and also visited Austin and San Antonio when my child was just over two years old. This month, we even went to the largest indoor aquarium in the US in Atlanta. After visiting so many, the nearby aquariums just don’t seem as interesting anymore. 🐟It feels like we’ve visited all the major cities around Dallas for family outings (please let me know if there are any new places). This time, I got inspired online and realized that sometimes other states are actually closer. Oklahoma City is a shorter drive than Austin. It takes less than three hours to get to the Science Museum of Oklahoma, and there are even mountains to climb. Weekend Two-Day Trip: Activities: Mount Scott Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge Science Museum of Oklahoma Accommodation: We stayed at the four-star Wyndham Grand Oklahoma City Downtown, located in the city center. We got a great deal during Black Friday, paying just over $50 per night. We could even bring our swimsuits and enjoy the pool. Plus, parking was free on weekends. It was a great value! 🐧Food: This state capital has quite a few Vietnamese restaurants. We chose a highly-rated Vietnamese pho place, which was also a bit cheaper than restaurants in Dallas. #Dallas #FamilyOutingsInDallas #Oklahoma #FamilyFunEatingAndPlaying #HolidayFunSpots
