「Magome-juku・Tsumago-juku・Narai-juku」(3)
📖 Magome-juku・Tsumago-juku・Narai-juku 🔖 Once bustling post stations along the highways, these places also fell into decline with the end of the "Five Great Highways of Edo." 🍃🌸However, some were unwilling to fade away with the times. Notable among them are Magome-juku, Tsumago-juku, and Narai-juku. 🌿 🔖 During the Showa era, when the local economy was shifting, the residents had the foresight and consensus to preserve the old street architecture. They jointly established three principles: "No selling, no renting, no destroying." 🍃🌸 This movement, initiated by the residents, was a pioneer in the nationwide effort to protect old street architecture in Japan. 🏠 🔖 Among them, Magome-juku is the 43rd post station on the Nakasendō, Tsumago-juku is the 42nd post station, and Narai-juku is the 34th post station. 🏛️ #Nagano 🌟
