Travel | A 2-Hour Visit to Narai-juku(2)

2️⃣The street is about a kilometer long, a bit longer than Tsumago-juku and Magome-juku. However, the shops are quite homogeneous, mostly selling lacquerware, crafts, and such. 🍃🌸 Most of the restaurants offer handmade soba noodles and ice cream... We had tempura donburi and yama-zuki set meal at Satsuki-an, which were really delicious. The fried chicken was very tender.🍗 3️⃣The museums, old residences, and other historical buildings are pretty similar to those in other places. Maybe we're just not that interested in these historical structures. 🍃🌸 But there are a lot of foreign tourists here, seemingly regarding it as a representative of traditional Japanese style... Foreigners can be quite noisy on the bus.🚌 4️⃣The distant mountains are lush and the waters are clear. Swifts fly low over the street. It must be more beautiful in the right season. Now it's a bit too sunny with few shaded areas, making us feel like a 🐶. Hope to have time to hike the Nakasendo next time. 🍃🌸 #Naraizumi #Nakasendo #CentralJapanTravel
