📍 Central Japan ✨ I've been crazily missing it since I got back home! If you love the quaintness and culture of Kyoto, but are tired of the crowded tourist spots, then Central Japan might just be your next destination! 🌿 🌟✨Unlike the modern hustle of Kanto or the ancient charm of Kansai, Central Japan offers something different. In its remote corners, you'll find secluded hot springs, hidden mountains, and Edo-period relics. 🌿 ✨ 🎡Among the many Edo-style streets in Central Japan, my absolute favorite is Narai-juku 💯. This is one of the best-preserved post towns in Japan, having received numerous accolades such as Japan's Most Beautiful Villages, Japan's Top 100 Historical Landscapes, and Japan Heritage. ✨ 🎡Strolling through the nearly deserted town, you can still strongly feel the Edo period, imagining its past prosperity and bustle. The main street stretches over a kilometer, lined with two-story wooden buildings housing dozens of shops. 🏘️ There are general stores, sake shops, souvenir boutiques, pottery workshops, and cafes. But the commercial atmosphere is very subtle, making it perfect for a quiet city walk! #Nagano 🌇
