【DMV Food Adventure】The BEST Korean Pork Hock in DMV!
My friends brought us to their secret spot for Korean food today! 🥢 As soon as you step in, you can tell it’s the real deal—packed with Korean aunties and uncles chatting away. We arrived around 1:15 PM and still had to wait a bit since it was full! There seemed to be only one server, plus someone who might be the owner/manager helping out, so service can be slow when it's busy—but totally worth it! Their banchan (side dishes) are amazing! There’s a cool jelly noodle and fish cake that are especially tasty 😋 Have you tried many types of banchan? Which one is your favorite? 🍖 PORK HOCK – Honestly the best Korean-style pork hock I’ve had in DMV! Unlike other places that serve it thinly sliced or in rough chunks, here it’s neatly cut into thick, juicy pieces. The fat layer bursts with flavor but isn’t greasy at all. And the pickled napa cabbage on the side? Lightly fermented, kinda like kimchi—SO good with the pork and radish strips. The combo of rich pork and tangy pickle is absolutely heavenly! 🥬✨ Are you a fan of rich, fatty cuts or leaner meats? 🦐 SEAFOOD PANCAKE Huge portion, loaded with imitation crab and squid—crispy on the outside, soft inside. Really satisfying! Do you prefer your seafood pancake extra crispy or tender? 🐟 GRILLED MACKEREL Fresh and well-cooked—crispy skin, juicy flesh. Has that distinct mackerel flavor, which I enjoy, but it’s pretty standard compared to the other dishes 😄 🍚 BIBIMBAP Kept this one as a Live photo so you can hear the sizzle! 📸✨ The gochujang (spicy sauce) is mild, and all the veggies are fresh and crisp. Highly recommend mixing it all up! What’s your must-have ingredient in bibimbap? 🍲 GINSENG CHICKEN SOUP (Samgyetang) No reservation needed! Classic chicken stuffed with glutinous rice in a rich, slightly thick broth that feels so nourishing. Can’t imagine how good this will be when it gets colder! 🍂❤️ Are you a soup person all year round, or only when it’s chilly? Verdict: Probably my favorite Korean spot in DMV right now—especially for that pork hock. Super recommended! 👍 New Tosokjib 7123 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003 #LifeInNorthAmerica #DMVfood #DMV #Food #KoreanFood #PorkHock #ComfortFood #HiddenGem #AuthenticKorean #FoodReview #DMVEats #No1InDMV #MustTry #Bibimbap #SeafoodPancake #Samgyetang #KoreanBBQ
