【Philadelphia Food】Delicious Retro Dalgona Latte
🐟There are two places in Philadelphia where you can get it:🐟 Downtown: Saigon Grace Cafe (Vietnamese coffee) Suburbs: Cafe Clover Philly (Korean coffee), located right next to DuBu. ⭐️Cafe Clover Philly I’ve been here twice, always for their soybean shaved ice. Last time, I noticed they had Dalgona lattes, which reminded me of making them at home during the pandemic for fun 😂. So I ordered one. It’s freshly whipped, so it takes a bit longer to prepare. The coffee foam is very thick and creamy, yet also light and airy. When mixed with the milk below, the flavor is more balanced. It’s pretty good, with a classic Korean coffee vibe. ⭐️Saigon Grace Cafe This is a newly opened café focused on light meals, and it’s quite popular for dining. I came here specifically for the Dalgona coffee. It comes with a caramel toffee on top. The coffee foam isn’t as thick as at Cafe Clover. I think the caramel floats not because of the foam, but because of the ice cubes beneath it. The caramel is also not overly sweet; it has a slight bitterness. One thing I really like about their coffee is that Vietnamese coffee often has a strong, over-roasted flavor. I was initially worried that it might taste like some other places where the coffee is good but too bitter due to high coffee content, making it hard to finish. However, their version is very balanced. The layering of caramel, black coffee, and milk looks great, and the milk quantity is just right. #Philadelphia #PhillyFood #PhillyEats #PhillyLife #Coffee #Café #CaramelLatte
