Cafe Clover Philly — Restaurant in Cheltenham Township

My partner and I decided to go to Cafe Clover as it was a beautiful way to start our day . All was going well until the owner of the establishment came in, even the aura of the employees changed which was very noticeable by the way and not in a good way. My partner had his road bike which he brought inside the cafe because there's no way it was safe to leave it outside unsecured. The owner then came over to us and stated if we were only staying for 30 minutes we'll have to park the bike on the outside, but if longer than 30 minutes it's okay to leave it inside with us. My partner responded and said we would be there for a few hours but I guessed that didn't register to him. By this time we were there for approx. 4 hours, during those hours we bought multiple items ( a smoothie, cappuccino and a tiramisu shaved ice bowl). The owner approached my partner again and said in so many words " It is getting crowded, your bike cannot stay inside". My partner responded " we are getting ready to wrap things up without even giving an exact time because we are entitled to stay as long as we wish without anyone rushing us. At this point he was sitting to the right of us, all we heard was " EXCUSE ME YOU SAID 30 MINUTES YOU HAVE TO LEAVE NOW" in a very loud and disrespectful manner, that caught us by surprise. I was very upset and so was my partner because that was no way to speak to someone. How dare you!. He handled the situation better than I would've like the gentleman that he is. There was a significant customer volume at the time so everyone saw what happened. One of his employees came over being very apologetic which we truly appreciated but unfortunately the damage was already done. I can proudly say we will never support cafe clover again. Can we say racially profiled for having a bike!!!!! Just unacceptable. In addition I think it's time for him to retire. He is simply just an unpleasant human being. The happiness and satisfaction of your customers should always be a top priority. In this case...

A cute little shop with drinks, desserts, and treats. There’s plenty of seating as well as a small alcove in the back. If you’re a student, this would be a great place to hang out to study or get some work done.

If you’re in search of a good bingsu spot, you’re in luck. Once you try the Milk Snow Shaved Ice from Cafe Clover, you’ll never go back to the regular shaved ice. There is a chart with pictures near the register that shows you how each shaved ice dessert looks.

We’ve gone multiple times and tried a lot of their milk snow options, such as original, strawberry, and mango, but I think our favorite is the Cookies ‘n Cream Milk Snow. The cookies are thoroughly mixed into the milk snow with little mochis hiding within. There’s also a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top with 2 Oreos. A cup of sweet condensed milk is provided and adds a bit of extra sweetness to the dessert.

If you opt for one of the fruit milk snows, just know that it’s not the flavor of milk snow that you’re picking, but rather the fruit that they put on top of it. For example, the Strawberry Milk Snow comes with the original milk snow flavor and strawberry slices on top. The Original Milk Snow has red bean on top.

They do also have regular shaved ice, drinks, and desserts (like cake slices a s macaroons) available if you’re not into bingsu. I would highly recommend trying their milk snow at least once though.

Overall, you’re missing out if you don’t try Cafe Clover’s Milk...

I understand that people have bad days but please do not bring bad attitudes to the customers. Today, my friends and I stopped by to get some drinks. We ordered a Mango Mojito that came out like a slushy! A mojito is not supposed to be in a slushy form, the description on the menu does not even mention that the mojito would be a slush. I kindly asked to remake the drink but the male who was working today responded with A LOT of attitude and seemed extremely annoyed when asked to remake the drink. My friend also ordered a mojito and the drink came out totally different with half the drink was all foam. We also asked to remake the drink, and the male working behind the counter was also annoyed again. My other friend ordered a coffee drink which just tasted like steamed milk with no coffee. Again, we asked to remake the drink. We are asking to remake the drink as how it should be according to the menu.
