【Weekend Guide】MD Brookside Gardens Butterfly Exhibit 🦋

📍 1800 Glenallan Ave or 1500 Glenallan Ave, Wheaton, MD These are two different entrances—both have parking! 🚗 It can get crowded, but since people come and go, you’ll likely find a spot if you wait a bit. Great location—just a 10-minute drive from Rockville’s Chinese food hub 🥡! 🦋 Brookside Gardens is a public park—free entry, but the butterfly exhibit requires a separate ticket (better to book online in advance!). The butterfly house is open from early April to late September 🗓️. They say there are over 700 butterflies—half from the U.S., half from around the world 🌍. You can even see the giant Atlas Moth! 🦋✨ 🦋 If you’re lucky, butterflies might land on you! One lucky little boy had one perch right on his head 😄👦🌸 🦋 Connected to the butterfly area is a greenhouse—not huge, but filled with tropical plants 🌿. A nice little stroll while waiting before or after the butterfly experience. 🦋 After the butterflies, we headed back—not sure if there’s more to explore deeper in the gardens. Would be a great place for a walk if you live nearby—lots of trees, so it’s nicely shaded ☀️🌳 #WeekendPlans #BrooksideGardens #ButterflyWatching #FamilyFriendly #FreePark #MDParks #NatureWalk #SpringExhibits #TropicalGreenhouse #DCWeekend #ButterflyLanding #PhotoSpot #RockvilleArea #OutdoorMD #PublicGarden #SeasonalFun
