Tucked away in Des Moines, Iowa, Salisbury House & Gardens is a historic estate built in the 1920s for the wealthy Weeks family. The founder, Carl Weeks, established the Armand cosmetics brand 💄. This architectural blend of English Renaissance and American Gothic styles offers a glimpse into early 20th-century opulence! Though the interior is beautifully designed with excellent natural lighting 🌞, I couldn’t shake the vibe of a Detective Conan murder mystery during my tour 🕵️‍♂️🌹! The surrounding gardens feature Roman-style courtyards, fountains ⛲, and are often rented for weddings and events 💍. Honest take: The exterior reminded me of Chinese rice candy and sesame bars (kinda quirky-looking 😅).
