🏙️ Eastern Canada 4-Day Itinerary (Day 4) 🚗✨
We kicked off the morning in Montreal, cruising three hours to Ottawa, Canada’s capital. Why here? Queen Victoria picked Ottawa because it’s far from the U.S. border (unlike Kingston, the first capital, which was deemed too close 😅🗺️) and strategically placed between Quebec’s French-speaking heartland and Ontario’s English-speaking regions. 📍 Canadian War Museum (First Stop) Three must-sees: Hitler’s Mercedes, a Normandy Landing tank, and a chunk of the Berlin Wall. 🚗💥 With limited time, we zipped through in an hour—but it packed a punch! 📍 Parliament Hill (Next Up) Snapped pics outside, then caught the Changing of the Guard Ceremony 🛡️🎺. Performers in Scottish kilts and bagpipes added a quirky touch! Even though Ottawa straddles two provinces, Parliament’s in Ontario (English-speaking), so the vibe’s decidedly British. 🇬🇧🎩 📍 Canadian Museum of History (Third Stop) Our guide zeroed in on the Indigenous History Hall—a riveting deep dive into First Nations cultures. 🏞️📜 Even with time constraints, it was a highlight! 🍽️ Lunch at Saveurs des Continents A buffet feast before hitting the road for the four-hour drive back to Toronto. 🚗🍔 And… poof—our Eastern Canada cultural and historical adventure wrapped! 🎉 Final Thoughts: Worth every mile, but Canada’s vastness means a lot of sitting in cars! 😅🌄 Still, Ottawa’s charm, museums, and quirky history made it unforgettable. #OttawaTravel #EasternCanadaTrips #CanadianWarMuseum 🏟😄
