🍽️ Exploring Rome | A Bistro Serving Authentic Roman Cuisine 🍽️

I stumbled upon a hidden gem bistro where I had the most memorable pasta of my trip. I couldn't get a reservation two days before arriving in Rome, but luckily, after being on the waitlist for two days, I managed to secure a spot. It's a place I'd love to revisit and try everything on the menu. ▪️ Cacio e Pepe Crostino A Roman specialty with black pepper and cheese sauce. The bread was baked to a perfect crisp, and the cheese was rich and creamy with a hint of powdered milk. The goat cheese was a bit heavy, so I'm glad I only had a slice instead of a full plate of pasta. ▪️ Fettuccine all'Amatriciana Apart from the 🌟 dish, this was my favorite pasta in Italy! The lobster broth was fresh and slightly spicy, reminiscent of tom yum soup, which suited my taste perfectly. It was paired with tender and sweet raw scampi tartare that absorbed the sauce well. The almond pesto added a nutty aroma and creaminess to the dish. The squid ink linguine was hearty and chewy, making for a novel and harmonious combination of ingredients and flavors. ▪️ La Rana nel Bosco Prepared "alla mugnaia" style, this is an Italian fish dish where the fish fillet is pan-fried with flour and served with butter and lemon juice. The light and simple seasoning really lets the freshness of the fish shine through. The monkfish had a bouncy texture and was filled with sweetness. It was accompanied by thin slices of pork cheek, adding an aromatic, fatty touch. The white truffle was incredibly fragrant. #Rome #Italy #Food #ItalianRestaurant #FoodExploration
