๐ฝ๏ธ Houston Food 2025๏ฝIf These Places Close, Iโll Be Heartbroken ๐ญ
Havenโt posted about food in a while, so I dug through my camera roll to share some of my all-time favorites โ spots I frequent or rarely visit but always crave! If any of these close, Iโd be devastated ๐ฅบ Feel free to share your own recommendations in the comments! ๐จ๐ณ Chinese ๐ฅ Xinjiang BBQ Amazing skewers! Their $11 mouthwatering chicken portion is huge. Big plate chicken is just okay. ๐ฅ Sichuan Impression Their set meals are great value โ a double portion can feed four! Love the spicy roasted duck and golden corn. But their pork trotter soup isnโt as good as Xiang Zhe Huiโs. ๐ฅ Xiang Yu Hunan Tried a stir-fried minced pork with preserved vegetables last time โ mind-blowing! Sadly didnโt get to have it this time ๐ข ๐ฏ๐ต Japanese ๐ Twenty Five Teishoku House Beautiful decor โ doesnโt feel like a typical American restaurant! The owner is passionate and caring. Their curry cream udon is a must-try! ๐ Ramen Moto Grilled chicken hearts and livers are my absolute favorite ๐ฅน Both dipping noodles and ramen are delicious. ๐ฃ Oma Sushi Better than Sushi Masa, in my opinion! Great selection of tataki. For +$5, the 5-piece omakase includes uni (sea urchin). ๐ฑ Kata Robata & Katami Once went at 10 PM just for shaved ice! Matcha flavor with red bean ice cream is incredible ๐ง โ enough for 3-4 people. ๐ Teppay Loved by Japanese locals! Their oyakodon (chicken-and-egg rice bowl) tastes like home ๐ฅน ๐ Zen Japanese Izakaya Delicious eel rice, enoki butter mushrooms, and grilled eggplant! But service is super slow ๐ข ๐ฐ๐ท Korean ๐ฅ TO SOC CHON ํ ์์ด A cozy homestyle Korean spot (Chinese-owned, I heard). Seafood pancake and potato pork bone soup are fantastic! ๐ฎ๐ณ Indian ๐ Agaโs No one should leave Houston without trying Agaโs! Every dish is amazing โ I easily devour three garlic naans per meal ๐๐ ๐ป๐ณ Vietnamese ๐ Bun Cha Ca Da Nang A hidden gem for seafood noodles! Light broth, bouncy fish cakes โ only $10! Canโt stop thinking about it. ๐ฒ๐พ Malaysian ๐ Uncle Chin Malaysian-approved! Hainanese chicken rice & bak kut teh are stellar. Also, the waiter looks like Jiang Qiming (so handsome ๐), and the owner sings karaoke in the shop! ๐ต๐น Portuguese ๐ฅ Oporto Their Paelha is huge and delicious! Scallops are memorable too. ๐ท Natural Wine Bar ๐ฅ Light Years A beautiful natural wine bar with an expertly curated selection! If you have any food recommendations, please let me know! ๐โโ๏ธ #HoustonFood #HoustonEats #HoustonLife #FoodieGuide #HoustonRestaurants
