🍽️ Houston Food 2025|If These Places Close, I’ll Be Heartbroken 😭
Haven’t posted about food in a while, so I dug through my camera roll to share some of my all-time favorites — spots I frequent or rarely visit but always crave! If any of these close, I’d be devastated 🥺 Feel free to share your own recommendations in the comments! 🇨🇳 Chinese 🔥 Xinjiang BBQ Amazing skewers! Their $11 mouthwatering chicken portion is huge. Big plate chicken is just okay. 🔥 Sichuan Impression Their set meals are great value — a double portion can feed four! Love the spicy roasted duck and golden corn. But their pork trotter soup isn’t as good as Xiang Zhe Hui’s. 🔥 Xiang Yu Hunan Tried a stir-fried minced pork with preserved vegetables last time — mind-blowing! Sadly didn’t get to have it this time 😢 🇯🇵 Japanese 🍙 Twenty Five Teishoku House Beautiful decor — doesn’t feel like a typical American restaurant! The owner is passionate and caring. Their curry cream udon is a must-try! 🍜 Ramen Moto Grilled chicken hearts and livers are my absolute favorite 🥹 Both dipping noodles and ramen are delicious. 🍣 Oma Sushi Better than Sushi Masa, in my opinion! Great selection of tataki. For +$5, the 5-piece omakase includes uni (sea urchin). 🍱 Kata Robata & Katami Once went at 10 PM just for shaved ice! Matcha flavor with red bean ice cream is incredible 🍧 — enough for 3-4 people. 🍙 Teppay Loved by Japanese locals! Their oyakodon (chicken-and-egg rice bowl) tastes like home 🥹 🍙 Zen Japanese Izakaya Delicious eel rice, enoki butter mushrooms, and grilled eggplant! But service is super slow 🐢 🇰🇷 Korean 🥘 TO SOC CHON 토속촌 A cozy homestyle Korean spot (Chinese-owned, I heard). Seafood pancake and potato pork bone soup are fantastic! 🇮🇳 Indian 🍛 Aga’s No one should leave Houston without trying Aga’s! Every dish is amazing — I easily devour three garlic naans per meal 👉👈 🇻🇳 Vietnamese 🍜 Bun Cha Ca Da Nang A hidden gem for seafood noodles! Light broth, bouncy fish cakes — only $10! Can’t stop thinking about it. 🇲🇾 Malaysian 🍗 Uncle Chin Malaysian-approved! Hainanese chicken rice & bak kut teh are stellar. Also, the waiter looks like Jiang Qiming (so handsome 😍), and the owner sings karaoke in the shop! 🇵🇹 Portuguese 🥘 Oporto Their Paelha is huge and delicious! Scallops are memorable too. 🍷 Natural Wine Bar 🥂 Light Years A beautiful natural wine bar with an expertly curated selection!
