🍽️ Katsuya Century City – DineLA Restaurant Week Experience
Went with a friend to try Katsuya’s Prix Fixe Lunch Menu – a satisfying 3-course meal worth checking out! Food 3.5/5 🍲 Miso Soup – Included with the meal, but too salty and not hot enough. 🐟 Yellowtail Jalapeño – Very fresh fish with a tangy, spicy sauce – a great starter. 🥬 Brussels Sprouts (tried my friend’s) – Loved that they’re tossed and roasted evenly. Some places just halve them, leading to uneven texture, but here they were crispy all over and well-seasoned. 🐟 Miso Black Cod – Appreciated that the miso wasn’t overly sweet, more savory. The Hajikama (pickled ginger) on the side was a perfect balance – both colorful and palate-cleansing. My friend said it rivals Nobu’s version – need to try Nobu to compare! 🍫 Chocolate Molten Cake – Better than expected! Not too sweet, rich cocoa flavor, served warm with vanilla ice cream and crunchy granola for texture – a delicious combo. Drinks 🍶 Tried a hot sake – don’t remember the name or price, but it was smooth and slightly sweet. Service 3.5/5 Waitstaff were polite and attentive with upselling (some main courses had an extra charge). Water refills and plate clearing were timely. Ambiance 4/5 This location opened just last year and stands out as one of the nicer fine dining spots in Westfield Century City. High ceilings and good lighting – would love to try outdoor seating next time! #DineLA #GlobalFoodies #LAFood #Katsuya #WestfieldEats #Nobu #WorthRevisiting #FoodShare
