☕️ Madtown Café | Fair Trade Coffee on State Street

I was on my way to the Asian grocery store when the rich, inviting aroma of coffee drew me into this cozy spot! Ended up turning back and spending a little time inside—and I’m so glad I did 💫 The walls are decorated with hand-drawn sketches of Madison street scenes and anti-war artwork—a vibe that’s both local and conscious. 🎨✌️ Their selection of cakes and pastries is pretty impressive! I tried the cheesecake ($6) and it was delicious!! I’ve always been a huge fan of Whole Foods’ cheesecake, and while this one had a denser, richer texture, Whole Foods still wins when it comes to value-for-money 😄🍰 The coffee and matcha latte were decent—nothing extraordinary, but solid. My friend zozo ordered their blackberry iced tea (something along those lines!). It had a slight oolong-like bitterness with a strong blackberry kick at first sip.
