✈️ Must-Visit in D.C.: Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., just west of the U.S. Capitol, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is the world’s largest collection of historic aircraft and spacecraft 🚀. It’s also a premier hub for aerospace history, science, and technology research. The massive building spans 200 meters long, 68 meters wide, and 26 meters tall—a true paradise for aviation and space enthusiasts! [😍] As an astronomy lover, this museum was at the TOP of my D.C. bucket list! [🔥] Must-See Exhibits: • Wright Brothers’ Flyer 🛩️ (at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA) • Moon Rock 🌑 (touch a piece of the lunar surface!) • Apollo 11 Command Module 🚀 (the capsule that carried astronauts to the moon) • A320 Flight Simulator ✈️ (pretend you’re a pilot!) • Exploring the Planets Gallery 🪐 (interactive space exhibits) The museum houses HUNDREDS of aircraft, from fragile early wooden planes to cutting-edge jets and spacecraft. Highlights include the SR-71 Blackbird (world’s fastest spy plane), Concorde (supersonic passenger jet), and the Space Shuttle Discovery 🛰️. Plus, there are IMAX theaters and hands-on exhibits perfect for all ages—I could’ve spent days here! #Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum #Washington
