🍽️ So… What to Eat Tomorrow? | Mediterranean Fine Dining in Madison!
If you're looking for a classy night out in Madison with a Mediterranean vibe, Otto’s is a well-known spot that’s definitely worth a visit! 🌿🇮🇹🇫🇷 We didn’t even realize it was Madison Restaurant Week until we arrived – so we went all-in and ordered three full Restaurant Week menus! Here’s the delicious breakdown: 📍 Otto’s Set in a beautiful, spacious house with multiple floors – warm, intimate, and perfect for a special night out. Service was attentive and friendly! 👍 🧀 Starters: Burrata Bruschetta: Good, but not the most memorable I’ve had. Bacon-Wrapped Water Chestnuts: Tasty and creative! The water chestnut added a nice crunch and freshness, though the bacon was a bit oily. Served with a light hollandaise that didn’t overpower. Creamy Pea Soup: Smooth, light, and not too rich – a refreshing opener! 🍖 Mains: Steak: Cooked well with nice flavor! The asparagus was thick and rustic – simple but satisfying. Seafood Stew: Sadly, this missed the mark 🫤. The sauce felt separated from the seafood, and overall it lacked depth. Being inland, the seafood itself wasn’t super fresh-tasting. Not my top pick. 🍮 Desserts: Raspberry Macaron: Pretty but still a bit sweet for my taste (even by U.S. standards!). Crème Brûlée: Creamy, perfectly torched, and not overly sweet – my favorite of the two! ✨ Overall Thoughts: Otto’s offers a lovely atmosphere and generally solid Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Some hits, some misses – but definitely a great place for a nice dinner out! I’d come back for the ambiance and to try more of their Italian-French fusion offerings.
