🏙️ Thompson Dallas – A Disappointing Hyatt Experience
Just spent a weekend at the Thompson Dallas using a Guest of Honor (GOH) award, and sadly, it didn’t live up to the Hyatt standard I’ve come to expect. 🛎️ Service & Location Service was decent — very much in line with Hyatt’s usual professionalism. 📍 The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown Dallas. 🚗 Pro tip: Self-parking isn’t covered, but valet parking is complimentary with GOH — make sure you use it! 🛌 Room & “Benefits” Check-in was smooth, but the GOH award felt… underwhelming. Apart from a nice note from the front desk manager and two bottles of water, there were no special welcome gifts or upgrades — even though suites were clearly available online that night. 😤 The room itself was fine, but nothing memorable. 🍳 Breakfast at Little Daisy A real letdown. With GOH, you receive a $35/person credit — but the menu is so overpriced that a basic breakfast runs $40–50 per person. The food? Just okay. Not worth the extra cost. 👎 💔 Final Verdict As one of the most expensive Hyatt properties in Dallas, Thompson Dallas didn’t deliver the value or experience I hoped for. Not recommended — especially if you're using points or GOH. #Hyatt #ThompsonDallas #HotelReview #DisappointingStay #DallasHotels #LuxuryForLess?
