I came here for beer, basketball, and billiards. The man behind the counter offered to change a tv closest to where I could snap a cold one and watch the the hometown mavs, and that meant a lot to me since that is what I came to do.
Plenty of other tvs in the house for everyone to catch non-dallas related playoff games.
Now. Something to expect is you initially get greeted by their oversized patio. Great for hosting 20 plus people just outside. Seating inside is all along the wall space, speckled with bistro tables and plenty of bar stools to go around.
They carry local taps and tag their hard tinctures with average prices. It is important to note the ladies I was with enjoyed their variety of mixed drinks. Who doesn't enjoy a well established bartender.
They have 2 coin pool tables. Each takes 4 quarters at a time. They are generous in asking if you want change.
Dart boards hang on the walls, and slot machines took the interest of some.
It is a decent spot. I think this place can host more within rather than in their parking lot. Carpool if you expect the house to be busy.
I would come back. I did not try their food or look at the menu. Other people were scarfing their orders down. It...
Read moreI’ve visited this bar over the years and loved it for it’s chill environment. Unfortunately, last week a group of friends and I came to enjoy the karaoke atmosphere. Well we were very disappointed, this bar is not very welcoming of brown color people!! The bartender was rude and disrespectful when asked about the jukebox after the Karaoke, he just didn’t want to plug in the sound cord from the jukebox to the speakers to play our music. The other bartender who was supposed to be in charge for the night, was no better! With this uncomfortable situation we left forgetting our card, went back before they closed and refused to give it back then, claimed we had to go back the next morning for it! Very disappointed this is the new environment in a community so diverse and full of...
Read moreDallas items Billiards is located at the intersection of Fitzhugh and Bryan St. I say this because I couldn't see any signage with the bar's name. There is a "4822" sign next to the front door to let you know you're in the right place.
The bar interior is a large rectangle, with bar itself taking up a surprisingly large space. Decor is standard. Dive bar. Despite the "Billiards" in the name this is a drinking bar. The beer selection is surprisingly good, with a few craft beers on tap. I had the Land Cruiser IPA, new to me, and I highly recommend it. I ordered the mozarella sticks and watched as the bartender went to the kitchen and microwaved them. Still tasted good and only $5.
Clientelle was 40- and 50-something, as were the bartenders. A very...
