🍽️ What I Ate in Madison This Week
🌟 Tai’s Asian Bistro Tai’s is seriously SO good — flavor-wise, it’s currently my #1 Chinese restaurant in Madison! This time I went craving steamed fish 🐟, and it did not disappoint. The sea bass was even more tender than last time — so fresh and well-prepared! Last visit I had the spicy pepper beef and stir-fried cabbage; this time I tried clams with black bean sauce and stir-fried pea shoots. The clams were incredibly plump and delicious — I almost cried tasting such fresh shellfish in Madison 😭👏 The pea shoots were wok-tossed with great wok hei — better than most other spots in town! 🌟 Sol’s I hadn’t been since late 2023… and my opinion hasn’t changed. The food is just okay and overpriced 💸 — but their tofu soup was downright terrible 😵👎 (sorry not sorry!). On the bright side, their side dishes (banchan) are delicious 😂! Still… probably won’t go back. 🌟 SGD So Gong Dong This place is basically my canteen now — but I only order the tofu soup 🍲! It’s the only thing I truly love there. The seafood pancake is decent too. I’ve tried almost every combo with the tofu soup: The “ramen” is just instant noodles 🍜 The udon is always bland The Korean hand-pulled noodles came undercooked 😣 So now I stick with tofu soup + white rice — safe and satisfying! Let me know if you’ve tried these spots — what’s your go-to in Madison? 🥢💬 #Madison#MadisonFood #AsainCuisine #MadisonWI #FoodReview
