1️⃣ Flights 🛫 Round-trip tickets: ~2700 RMB (with layover in Kuala Lumpur) Tip: Compare prices on platforms—Qunar was the cheapest for me! 2️⃣ Airport ↔ City: SkyBus 🚌 SkyBus: Buy on board for 40 AUD round-trip (or book in advance on Fliggy). 📍 Drop-off: Choose the stop closest to your hotel on Google Maps. 3️⃣ City Transport: Greencard 💳 Greencard: Buy at Metro Shop (5 AUD card fee + 5.5 AUD daily cap). ⚠️ Not recommended for short stays! Hobart’s CBD is walkable, and refunds require an Australian bank account. 📌 *My 7-day trip*: Topped up 35 AUD, refunded 17 AUD. Used for: • Richmond (bus) • Mount Wellington (Bus 448 to Stop 26) • Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (or 30-min scenic walk). 💰 Alternative: Pay with coins on buses (tell the driver your stop). 4️⃣ Maria Island Transport 🎟️ Book on: encountermaria.com.au • Package (110 AUD): Ferry + park entry + shuttle bus (cheaper than tours!). 🚌 Shuttle pickup: Brooke Street Pier (12 Franklin Wharf)—arrive early to find your bus! 5️⃣ Taroona Beach (Aurora Chasing) 🌌 Uber: Split with friends (~6 AUD round-trip).
