☕️ Bedst ⭐️⭐️ It’s said that their coffee is “amazing”, but after trying it myself, it’s just so-so! No major disappointment, though—Melbourne has really spoiled me, haha! The ambiance of the space is okay, but there are very few tables and chairs. Most office workers take their orders to go, so dining in isn’t particularly ideal. But hey, since I was already there, I gave it a shot, haha! 📍Unit 185/20 Allara St 🖼️ National Gallery ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Since I was already there, I checked it out, but honestly, it’s really small in scale. The exhibits are somewhat interesting (especially the Indigenous art section), and if you let your imagination run wild, you might spend a lot of time here! As for me, I’m not that into art, so I just wandered through quickly to kill time, haha! 📍Parkes Pl E 🎀 Pop Canberra ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A small store featuring original brands, which is a huge contrast to Canberra’s usual vibe. The color scheme of the entire space is super vibrant, like accidentally stumbling into a Hawaiian pop-up shop. I picked out some unique fridge magnets and stickers as gifts—I’m sure I could easily spend an hour in this store. 📍Shop G12/27 Lonsdale St 🏛️ Parliament House ⭐️⭐️⭐️ You can sit “Aussie-style chill” on the grassy slopes, enjoying the breeze and watching people sunbathe, or you can go inside for a visit (free entry)! After all, it’s an iconic landmark of Canberra. Since you’re already there, you might as well experience this architecturally imposing building with its political coolness. 📍Parliament Dr 🏛️ National Arboretum ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend coming here around dusk. This is truly the ultimate spot for stunning photos 📸! The entire forest sits on the edge of the city, almost like Canberra’s “soul outlet”. Standing at the high point, with the wind rustling through the grass, you’ll feel like the main character in a scene. 📍Forest Dr 🍲 The Golden Drum (Sichuan Cuisine) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’d call this the emotional savior of the trip 🥹🔥! A friend strongly recommended it, saying it’s a must-try Sichuan restaurant in Canberra. The spicy blood curd hotpot (maoxuewang) and spicy chicken—they’re simply divine! That feeling of instant revival, you know? I could eat three bowls of white rice with them, totally sweeping away the gloom of the past two days! 📍1/14 Childers St Canberra is really, really, really cold. The quietness and emptiness somehow amplify your emotions, making it feel like a place that might lull you into a bit of melancholy. The cold “bites” like the air itself is sharp; the wind is so strong it makes your eyes water and nose run. After just 5 minutes of walking, you start questioning life. Plus, in winter, the sun sets super early—by 5 PM, the streets are as dark as a doomsday movie set. As a city girl, those three days felt so long. #Malaysian #National Gallery#AustralianInternationalStudent #AustraliaTravel #ThingsToDoInCanberra #CanberraGuide
