1️⃣ Transportation ✈️ Sydney to Hobart: By plane 🚗 Airport to city & longer distances: Uber 🚶 City exploration: On foot 🚌 To Richmond: Bus 725/726 (bring cash 💵) 2️⃣ Accommodation 🏨 DoubleTree by Hilton Hobart Located in the city center, 10-min walk to shopping malls (Lululemon, Arc’teryx) and day tour pickup points Newly renovated and opened in late Nov–early Dec 2024; quiet, clean, and comfortable Restaurant inside the lobby, gym available in the building Complimentary cookies at check-in were delicious! 😋 Deposit required but refunded quickly Luggage storage available 🏡 Cabin Stay in Sandy Bay A wooden cabin on a hill – felt like staying in a dating show cabin! 💕 A wonderfully cozy experience – spent half the day in Richmond and returned to celebrate a friend’s birthday 🎂 Since it’s on a hill, it’s best to buy groceries in advance or order delivery 3️⃣ Day Tours Day 2: Maria Island Shuttle bus: $55 per person (Pickup: Brooke St Pier; Depart 6:45–8:10 AM; Return 5:00–6:15 PM) Ferry: $54 per person (Triabunna ⇄ Maria Island; Depart 8:30 AM, Return 4:15 PM) Daily pass: Group discount, ~$11.65 per person ⚠️ No food or water sold on the island – bring your own! ⚠️ Bring a trash bag – no littering allowed 📌 Souvenirs are sold at the check-in point before boarding – buy them in the morning (closed on return) ☕ Simple drinks and snacks available on the ferry Day 3: Tasman Peninsula Wilderness Cruise & Port Arthur Historic Site 3-hour cruise: See seals 🦭, dolphins 🐬, whales 🐳, and many birds Breakfast (coffee + pastry) and lunch (salmon banh mi + snacks/drinks) included.
