🇨🇦 1 Hour from Union via GO: Burlington Day Trip 🚂

🇨🇦 1 Hour from Union via GO: Burlington Day Trip 🚂 GO Train’s weekend pass is perfect for day trips to lakeside towns! Only $10 for 24-hour unlimited rides on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays—such a steal~ I’ve been wanting to visit Burlington since passing through on the way to Niagara Falls, and today I finally made it happen~ 😆 Buy the GO weekend pass in advance and activate it 5 minutes before boarding—it’s so easy! From Union, take the Lakeshore West line to📍Burlington Go Station. After exiting, take bus 2S to📍John Street Terminal, then a 4-minute walk gets you to📍Village Square—the heart of downtown Burlington, lively and fun to explore~ I took the 10:47 train from Union and the 17:42 return from Burlington, which worked great: enough time for downtown and the lakeside. If you want to stay for dinner or sunset, later trains run every 30 minutes or so on the LW line—super flexible~ 🕒 Village Square has tons of cute restaurants and cafes. Today I tried📍Lola Choco Bar And Sweet House for coffee, lemonade, and gelato—their iced latte is a must☕, smooth with no bitter aftertaste, just a hint of sweetness. The vibe and decor are amazing too: vintage posters, plants, adorable dessert displays… There’s even a second floor with few people, perfect for sipping drinks and watching the street scene outside—so cozy I didn’t want to leave~ ✨ Later, I wandered to📍Brant Street Pier—standing at the end of the steel walkway over the lake, feeling the breeze, it was so refreshing~ Strolling further along the shore, I found a spot to sit and zone out. Photo 2 was taken at📍Beachway Park - Burlington Beach—lie on a bench, watch clouds drift, listen to waves, and even dip your toes in the sand (wearing crocs was genius—so convenient and comfy~ 🥿). Time really slowed down here~ This day trip was so relaxing—escape the city buzz without spending much. Burlington’s laid-back vibe is so healing~ I’ll definitely take GO Train again to explore more corners! 😉 #TorontoWeekend#TorontoDT#SurvivedAnotherDay#TorontoFoodie#WeekendEscapes#TorontoLongWeekend#TorontoDayTrips#TorontoAreaTowns
