Burlington|Nothing Beats a Big Meat Feast After Skiing

Burlington|Nothing Beats a Big Meat Feast After Skiing❗️🥩 Went skiing in Stowe over the holiday ⛷️, and found two amazing restaurants in Burlington! Was worried the high ratings were overhyped, but they totally lived up to it—delicious, affordable, and perfect for Chinese taste buds. After a day of skiing, this meal hit so different~ 🔥 🍢 First stop: Istanbul Kebab House 📍 Address: 175 Church St, Burlington, VT 05401 Lamb kebab ✅ Look at those huge chunks of lamb! Simple seasoning but so flavorful~ The meat is tender enough to melt in your mouth, no gamey taste at all. Two bites and you’re stuffed—meat lovers, rejoice 🤤 All those calories burned skiing? Replaced in one bite! Shrimp guvec ✅ Blown away by this dish! Cheese covers the stone plate, and mixing rice into it is pure magic—I’d call it “Turkish stone pot rice” 🧀 The shrimp are crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a satisfying “crunch” when you bite down 🦐 Heard they add the shrimp to a hot stone, so it’s cooked to perfection when served. So fresh it’s mind-blowing! 🍛 Second stop: Laliguras Indian Nepali Restaurant 📍 Address: 146 Church St, Burlington, VT 05401 Veg pakora ⭕️ Crispy outside, soft inside fried veggie fritters. Dipped in tangy sauce, they’re the perfect appetizer~ Lamb biryani ✅ Highly recommend! Kinda like Xinjiang hand-grabbed rice, but with richer spices. The lamb is diced and so tender, every grain of rice is coated in meaty, spicy flavor. One spoonful and you’re in heaven—order this, no questions! 🍚 Shrimp tikka masala ✅ This curry has a creamy tomato base, sweet and tangy with a hint of . Mix it with rice and it’s chef’s kiss. The shrimp are huge, soaked in curry sauce—one bite and you’re hooked! Mango lassi ⭕️ Better than expected! Strong mango flavor with a hint of yogurt, a little sweet but perfect for balancing the curry~ 🥭 ✨ Bottom line: These spots get Chinese taste buds! After skiing, you need that hearty, meaty, rice-loaded feast to warm you up. Meat, sauce, cream—all mixing together to warm your soul. Will definitely hit these up again next time in Burlington! #VermontSkiing#VermontFood#VermontGuide#BostonAreaSkiing#Food#Foodie#IndianFood#BostonSkiGuide
