πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Just How Well I Ate in Vancouver Over the Past Month 🐽

From Downtown to Richmond, from Sichuan cuisine to Japanese food β€” there’s just too much good stuff to try! Sharing some highlights by location for now πŸ“ 🍜 Around Robson Street Hua Ma Spring – Blown away by their tofu rice noodles! Never had anything like it, though a bit pricey. Half & Half Sichuan – Proper Sichuan right in DT. Their stir-fried pork kidney is incredibly tender. Sura – Even I, who usually avoid fatty meat, loved their pork belly. Saku – Delicious katsu, but service was kinda slow. Kingyo – A bit disappointed tbh… maybe my expectations were too high? Da Wei Hot Pot – My go-to canteen. Their green pepper and dry-tomato noodle styles are unique and tasty. Guu with Garlic – A gem among izakayas! Ramen Danbo – Not sure why there’s always a line… didn’t feel that special to me? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ πŸ₯’ Around Downtown 9. Lihn Cafe – Their secret spicy sauce with pho is EVERYTHING. Nice atmosphere too. 10. Landmark Hotpot – Huge portions, great service, super fresh seafood. 11. Wuhu Noodle – Cozy spot. Flavors are good, but portions are a bit small. 12. New Fuji – Beautiful interior! Truffle corn was delicious πŸ˜‹ 13. CafΓ© Gloucester – Super authentic Hong Kong-style cafe. Everything was tasty! 🍚 Richmond 14. Geng Shi Ji – Really opened my eyes to how competitive Chinese food is here. 15. South Silk Road Yunnan – Not exactly like what I had in Yunnan, but still pretty good. 16. Sister’s Congee King – SO GOOD 🀀 17. Ma Liu – Their pig trotter soup and pea shoots took me right back to Chengdu. 18. New Victory Restaurant – Finally had proper Chaoshan beef hotpot. The meat was fresh! 19. Cang Ying Guan Zi – Food was delicious, but even β€œmild” was crazy spicy πŸŒΆοΈπŸ˜… My Chengdu pride is bruised lol. Also tried pork wonton soup for the first time – unusual but good! ✨ Also enjoyed lots of pretty brunches and coffees – will share more if this gets enough likes πŸ˜‰ And please drop your fave Asian food spots below! Currently on my list: Pin Yi Pin Xiang Guo (hot pot craving!) Also open to Burnaby recommendations! #VancouverFood #FoodieDiary #AsianCuisine #EatInVan #DTVan #RichmondEats #FoodRecs #CantBelieveIAteThisAll
