🇨🇦 Visiting Canadian Western Agribition in Regina! 🌾🐄

📍 Location: Evraz Place, Regina, SK This rainy Saturday, we took our little one to explore the Canadian Western Agribition—apparently the largest agricultural exhibition in Canada! (Fun fact: "Agribition" isn’t in the dictionary! My husband guessed it’s a mix of Agriculture + Exhibition—how clever! 🤓) A colleague told me this event has been around for decades—back when she was a kid, schools would organize field trips here. She reminisced about milking cows and cuddling baby chicks, which got me super excited! Unfortunately, we only found out about it one day before it started, so most tickets for the Maple Leaf Finals Rodeo were already sold out. The only seats left were "nosebleed" spots (and not cheap either!), so we decided to skip the rodeo this year and just bought two adult tickets (kids under 13 get in free!). Pro tip: There’s a FREE admission day on Tuesday/Wednesday, and weekday rodeo tickets were still available until Thursday. But since we couldn’t make it on weekdays, we missed out—feeling like we lost a fortune! 💸 Getting There: Shuttle vs. Drive The event offers free shuttle buses from major malls in the east, south, and north (with possible ticket discounts—didn’t check though!). We drove and waited about 10 minutes at the entrance, where we saw a toll booth. At first, I panicked, thinking it was a parking fee (cue internal screaming 😱), but it turned out to be just for ticket scanning. Phew! Food: Pricey but Convenient We grabbed burgers, fried chicken, and pizza inside—ouch, the prices! (Imagine $8 for a tiny pizza slice + a 12% "service fee" at a takeout window?!). Next year, we’re packing sandwiches. 🥪 The Highlights: Cows, Horses & Rodeo Vibes Animal Exhibits: Cows, horses, and even a cattle auction! The barns had a distinct farm aroma—our weirdo kid LOVED it and said she wanted to "breathe it all in." 🤣 Rodeo Shows: We caught a cowboy shooting competition (so cool!), but without the main rodeo, the experience felt a bit lacking. Interactive Stuff? Sadly, we didn’t find much hands-on fun (no milking or chick cuddling this year). Note to self: Buy rodeo tickets EARLY next time! (Mark your calendars: Nov 25–30, 2024!) Final Verdict A fun 3-hour adventure, but the rodeo is the real star. Next year, we’re coming prepared—front-row seats, packed lunches, and maybe even some cowboy hats! 🤠 #CanadianWesternAgribition #ReginaLife #SaskatchewanAdventures #FamilyFun #FarmLife #RodeoOrBust
