π¨π¦ Where to go in Ottawa/Montreal β Mont-Tremblant
Mont-Tremblant is a great destination all year round β spring for hiking, summer for recreation, autumn for maple leaf viewing, and winter for skiing. βοΈβοΈ βοΈThese days, as the maple leaves are turning red, we headed there on the weekend to enjoy the foliage. So far, Iβve only tried the cable car for autumn leaf viewing. Without doing advance research, I found out on-site that there are other fun activities like zip-lining and go-karting. ππ Iβll explore those next time if I get the chance.π π As a first-time visitor to Mont-Tremblant, I made quite a few mistakes due to inexperience. πΉπΉ Here are some tips for those planning a trip:π π¦π¦[Star] Arrive early. We got there at 1 PM and spent an hour and a half circling the looking for a parking spot because all spaces were full. There are many parking lots, but youβll realize how crowded it is once you arrive β itβs really frustrating not to find a spot. π₯π₯ We ended up parking at P4 and taking the free shuttle bus over.π£π£ Bring some cash. Internet is poor in most areas, making credit card payments for parking slow and leading to long lines. ππ If you have cash, there might be an extra staff member collecting it, letting you enter directly.ππ¨ Bring your own food ππor eat before arriving. Restaurants with dine-in service usually have long waits. My roommates and I bought hot dogs and poutine from the on-site store to eat on the go, and it cost around 34 CAD for almost nothing β and it was way too salty. ππ Overall, itβs expensive and tasteless.π¦π¦ If you need to buy food, have one person line up first while the other goes to get the food, so you can eat while waiting. Itβs more time-efficient.ππ Dress warmly. The mountaintop is colder than expectedβ¦ππ Buy cable car tickets online in advance. πΎπΎ The average wait time for the cable car is around 1 hour. π³π³ The cable car closes at 6:30 PM, so donβt go too late or youβll miss it. Some people consider walking up/down the mountain. I initially planned to walk down without knowing better, but after seeing the path, I gave up immediately. ππ The trail is quite long. Even if going down isnβt too strenuous, it will still take you an hour or two.πππ #CanadianTravel #Ottawa#Ottawa
