🇨🇦Gaspe|Perce Travel Guide
📍5-Day 4-Night Itinerary Departing from Toronto Day 1: Toronto ✈️ Quebec City Instead of driving (which takes about 7-8 hours), we chose to fly (1.5 hours). Then we drove another 7 hours to Gaspé.🙊🙊 Day 2: Gaspé - Whale watching in Gaspé at noon 🐋 We booked with the cruise company Forillon in advance. There are three trips daily, and it seemed the 12:45 PM trip had a higher chance of seeing more whales. The entire trip lasted about 3 hours. The captain was very experienced and made sure guests got their fill—we saw over 10 whales, with multiple sightings at the same time, and even witnessed a whale breach, which was spectacular! ❗️ They provide windproof and waterproof jackets, and binoculars are available for rent. - In the afternoon, we visited downtown Gaspé, a place with more historical and cultural attractions. The "Birthplace of Canada" 🇨🇦offers a lot of insights into Gaspé's history. - We stayed at Le Nordet, located between Gaspé and Percé. It’s more like a B&B/motel but has its own spa, which is a nice highlight.. They also offer various self-organized tours like forest adventures and boating—would be a great experience if we had more time. - Dinner at GASPESIE BRASSERIE GOURMANDE is not recommended.👉👈 Day 3: Percé - Mont Joli Lookout🙊 A viewing platform with a close-up view of Percé Rock. The little red house and cross are also here. Entry to the lookout costs 2 CAD, cash only. - Dinner at La Maison du Pêcheur 🦞 Highly recommended! The seafood is super fresh—even someone who doesn’t usually like seafood loved it. Book early, as it’s packed every day.🌴 Day 4: Percé🍠 - Breakfast at Le Fournand—the bread is amazing. - Île Bonaventure (Bird Island) Boat tours can be booked in town for 45 CAD round trip, with flexible departure and return times. Be sure to line up early at the dock—once the boat is full, you’ll have to wait for the next one. 🍏 The cruise takes you around Percé Rock up close and to the island, which is home to gannets—truly spectacular. Resources on the small island are limited; it’s mainly for hiking trails and bird watching. 👀👀 The shortest trail takes 1.5-2 hours, so plan your time to catch the return boat. - Geopark Observation Deck Glass Walkway Offers a bird’s-eye view of the entire town. 🌳 If you’re too lazy to hike, you can take the shuttle—line up early, as each shuttle holds fewer than 10 people and departs every 30 minutes.🍉 Day 5: Return to Toronto🍊🍊 - Stopped for lunch at Le Matelot—their seafood is also delicious.🍔🍟🍘 #CanadaTravel
