🇩🇪 A Sunny Escape to Schwerin (Almost!) ☔🌈

Today's forecast said "cloudy"—but Germany's weather had other plans! 😅 🚆 Quick Trip Details RE1 from Hamburg → Schwerin Mitte: ~1 hour Walk to the castle: Just 15 mins (easy peasy!) My timeline: 12:00: Left Hamburg 14:00: Arrived at Schwerin Mitte 16:00: Headed back (thanks, rain!) ☔ 17:30: Back in Hamburg ☀️ (of course...) Why rush? The downpour killed the vibe 🌧️—too dark for photos, skipped the church, and then... SURPRISE RAINBOW 🌈 as the train arrived! Now it’s sunny outside the RE. Typical. 🏰 Castle Tips Open: Tue-Sun (10:00-17:00, until 18:00 after Apr 15) Tickets: €8.50 (adult), €6.50 (student) Free: Gardens & exterior (still stunning!) ⚠️ Heads Up: Early spring = bare trees 🍂 (gardens look a bit sad now) Scaffolding on parts of the castle (minor eyesore) Best time to visit? Late April onwards for full blooms! 🌸 Verdict: Even with rain and scaffolding, Schwerin Castle slays.
