🇩🇪 Frankfurt Old Tavern Review ⚠️ Not Recommended!
Heard about this long-standing traditional place in Frankfurt and was super excited to try it… but it turned out to be a major letdown 😵💫 🍎 Apple Wine - Extremely sour!! We asked for sugar, but after searching around, the server said they didn’t have any… We ended up mixing it with a small bottle of Fanta to make it drinkable. 🍑 Famous "Peach Whiskey" - It wasn’t even peach inside… but a loquat?? Yeah, canned loquat in syrup with whiskey… weird combo. 🍖 Their signature pork knuckle and other meat dishes - Tasteless and simply deep-fried without any seasoning. The skin was rock-hard, still had pig hair on it 😣, and there was no sauce at all. Back in my hometown, we’d at least use five-spice and braise it properly! 🌭 Pork sausage - Had some strange spices mixed in… not tasty at all. And about the portions… they’re HUGE. For two Chinese people, one serving would be more than enough. ⚠️ Pro tip: Don’t let the server order for you!
