Blessed to have dined at the finest Vietnamese restaurants in my hometown of San Francisco; as well as in Los Angeles, Anaheim, New York, Washington D.C. and Paris, An-Frankfurt serves the very best Pho-Bo and spríng rolls ever!
Overall food quality better than Frankfurt's:
Góc Phố, Antru Lam Frères Vietnam Restaurant, Mai Viên, Vipho, Ong Tao, Sen and Vietnam Bistro Palmen.
Very generous with their Pho-Bo's tender beef and noodles, it is the broth that makes them #1 in Western Europe.
Our * Salute to An-Frankfurt and their very affable owners!!!
TODAY DECEMBER 15th's ENCORE:
Blessed with the pleasure of meeting Ray ~ the COO, today's encore luncheon was every bit as excellent as our 1st visit last Friday.
An's spring rolls and Pho-Bo still retain their titles as the very best in all of Frankfurt!
The big surprise today was their world's best Com Heo Quay mit Schweinekrustenbraten.
A San Francisco GIANT fan of Chinese roasted Char Siu Pork, their Vietnamese version was over-the-top crunchy, tender and authentically perfect.
Served with fluffy and savory Jasmine rice topped with ultra fresh veggies, commencing next Friday December 22, my wife Christine and I will always order and share the Pho-Bo and Schweinekrustenbraten.
For dessert we enjoyed An's outrageously fresh passion fruit juice.
Again, An-Frankfurt and Ray are awarded our * SALUTE!
TODAY'S DECEMBER 18th's ENCORE:
Not wanting to wait until Friday the 22nd, we again ate lunch today at our overall favorite Stadtmitte restaurant ~ An-Frankfurt.
Our Summer rolls were outstanding, but the king-maker was the exquisite accompanying peanut sauce; so, so delicious that we will ask to buy 250ml next time.
Today's big surprise was when Ray ~ the COO, stated that An-Frankfurt owns the modernly elegant space across the shopping corridor, for their guests dining pleasure.
It will become our home away from home.
3 times in a row, An-Frankfurt and Ray deserve...
Read morePassed bye this restaurant a few times but never had a chance to visit. Today is the perfect day to visit and have a bowl of hot soup in this rainy weather. This is a little gem hidden in an alley of a busy street of Hauptwache, offer a casual dining with good selection of food with a decent price. The admirable combination of age and modern interior and exterior design that even goes to their serving tray( although the napkin doesn’t goes with the style). I ordered the popular dish „ Pho“. The mouthwatering broth was delicious and just perfect, this is definitely more tasty that the one I had in Hanoi. Presentation wise was enchanting and in addition to that the service was very friendly and quick. This is a great place to grab a quick lunch, dinner or to go. Will be back to try their Banh mi and the list goes on. Tried the Pho in a few Vietnamise restaurants here in Frankfurt but this...
Read moreOrdered pho beef, sandwich with 3 meats, and rice noodle with 3 meats.
The meats were all on the dry side, especially the chicken. I would not recommend the chicken at all for it is rough. The meats could have used more marinating with more water to avoid drying up like this.
Do not recommend the sandwich at all. Typical, made with mass produced baguette, bread is a bit hard to bite into, and due to aforementioned meat issues the sandwich isn’t that tasty.
The rice noodle with 3 meats, same meat problems.
Sat in the hallway where lots of pedestrians pass through and some guy smoked upwind.
Price was okay. Pho cheaper than the place across street. Tbh the place across street didn’t look that authentic, didn’t see a single Asian person working there, whereas this place has actual Vietnamese family working (which is why I ate...
