🇩🇪 Fulda Day Trip — Making the Most of the €49 Germany Ticket! 🚂✨

Fulda sounds like a real-life Zelda game 🎮—complete with castles as the backdrop! Definitely worth a special trip. Highly recommended! ✅ The attractions are very concentrated (palace + garden + church combo layout 😆), all within walking distance from the train station. The streets are so photogenic—I wanted to snap pics everywhere! 📸 Many buildings are still under construction or renovation, so it might look even better in a year or two. Here are the main spots I visited: 1️⃣ Fulda Palace (Stadtschloss Fulda) The courtyard and the palace gardens are free 🆓, but the historical museum inside costs €3.50. Most people skip it, but it’s totally worth it! I felt like I was in a mini version of Russia’s Peterhof Palace or Versailles 😍✨. Baroque (grand, symmetrical, huge domes!) and Rococo (elegant noble daily life) styles are beautifully represented. There are several stunning halls—Marble Hall, Mirror Room, a grand wedding hall 💒 (I even saw a wedding happening—so romantic!). The chandeliers 🕯️, porcelain, oil paintings (mostly portraits), and ceiling frescoes (maybe depicting heaven? 😇) are all amazing. It felt like a blend of Eastern and Western artistic traditions! 2️⃣ Castle Gardens Right behind the palace, these gardens are peaceful and beautifully designed. There’s a small pyramid in the center created by a local artist—very Versailles-like! 🎨 The artist has placed several installations around the city. A fun treasure hunt for next time! 3️⃣ Fulda Cathedral (Domplatz Fulda) Just across the street from the palace—you can’t miss the towering dome! The exterior is impressive, and you can go inside too 🏛️✨ (don’t be fooled by closed-looking doors!). The interior features a massive pipe organ and gorgeous stained-glass windows. PS: I originally came to Fulda for Decathlon 🏂, but there was no snow gear in sight ❄️😅. Instead, I discovered a charming city! If you love shopping, Fulda has a large mall with Aldi, Müller, and lots of clothing stores—kinda like an outlet 🛍️. Note: Not every Decathlon sells skiing stuff. Looking for snow gear in Fulda is like looking for a snowboard in Hainan 😂. DM me if you have second-hand snowboard equipment or protection gear! 🏂🤙 #LifeInGermany #Germany #ClassicalArchitecture #DB #StudyInGermany
