🇩🇪 Germany Travel Guide | One Day in Leipzig
🔸 Suggested Itinerary: 🏛️ Leipzig University Honestly, it’s hard to tell where the university begins and ends 😅 — but I snapped a photo in front of the iconic building. The square in front features sculptures and a bench engraved with "Leipzig’s Sister City: Nanjing" 🇨🇳❤️! ⛪ St. Thomas Church Open 12:00–18:00 | Free entry Rumor has it Bach is buried here, but a service was ongoing when I visited, so I didn’t stay long. The tree-lined path between the church and the Old Town Hall is gorgeous — perfect for photos with branches framing the church 📸🌳. 🏛️ Old Town Hall / City History Museum Open 11:00–18:00 | Student ticket: €3 A compact but informative museum! There’s often a market in front of the Old Town Hall. 🏰 New Town Hall Quick photo stop — passed by on the way! 🎵 Bach Museum Open 10:00–18:00 | Student ticket: €8 Free Chinese audio guide available! It’s small but interesting — two floors with about 7–8 rooms. ⛪ St. Peter‘s Church Worth a quick look if you’re nearby. 🌸 St. Nicholas Church You’ll pass this pretty pink church on the way from the train station to the university. 🐘 Leipzig Zoo Student ticket: €18 — totally worth it! This zoo is huge, with a great variety of well-cared-for animals 🦁🐒. Don’t miss the rainforest section (top right on the map — available at the ticket office). It includes a rope bridge and a fun boat ride (€1.5 per person). The ride starts in a dark cave with animated projections and commentary (English/German), then continues through the lush rainforest. If you go later in the day, you might get a whole boat to yourself! 🚣♀️🌿 🔸 One day is perfect for Leipzig! Explore the city center in the morning (everything is within easy walking distance), then spend the afternoon at the zoo. It’s only a 10–15 minute walk from the Bach Museum to the zoo. #Leipzig #LeipzigZoo #GermanyTravel #ExploreGermany 🇩🇪✨
