πͺπ¬ The Nile Gave Its Most Beautiful Stretch to Aswan π
The Nile at Aswan truly displays its most beautiful colors β a clear, bright blue, yet never monotonous or flat. The river is wide and flows gently, with sand dunes and rock formations standing opposite each other on both banks. Between them lie several oases dotted with palm trees and farmhouses. From a distance, it looks like a exquisite watercolor painting: vivid yet soft to the eyes. ββπ΄ Transportation Many daily flights from Cairo to Aswan βοΈ. Recommended if the price is reasonable. Buses from Cairo to Aswan run from early morning till night π. The night bus is quite comfortable, but MiniBus is not recommended. ββπ Accommodation We stayed on Elephantine Island ποΈ. The ferry costs 10 EGP per person. ββπ² Attractions Nubian Village ποΈ Old Cataract Hotel π¨ Feryal Garden β A park next to the Old Cataract Hotel. Entrance: 50 EGP. The view is absolutely stunning! π³ This was my main reason for coming to Aswan β to admire the Nile from here. Lots of friendly locals relax in the park. Philae Temple π Nile Felucca Ride β΅ (We went at sunset. Price varies; you can charter a boat with a group.) Aswan High Dam ποΈ Abu Simbel Temple π π« Private car hire is around 2500 EGP π°, though many drivers ask for more. If you canβt find people to share, ask your hotel to join a group tour β about $20 USD. The only catch: youβll depart very early (around 4β5 AM!). π« I still highly recommend visiting Abu Simbel β though ticket prices have risen ridiculously. We bought ours on-site, and an adult ticket was over 800 EGP π±! #Aswan #NileRiver #AbuSimbel #EgyptTravel #NileViews πβ¨
