Egypt Free & Easy|2 Days in Aswan is More Than Enough! πŸ’«

Aswan lies along the Nile, offering stunning water temples and the romantic experience of a felucca sunset cruise πŸŒ…β›΅. It was supposed to be one of my favorite stops, but unfortunately, we encountered quite a few scams which dampened the mood πŸ˜”. Still, the scenery is breathtaking, and two days and two nights are plenty to explore without rushing β€” unless you prefer a slow, laid-back pace 😌. πŸ›οΈ Day 1: After arriving from Cairo and settling into the hotel, head straight to Philae Temple Philae Temple is one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient temples, dedicated to the goddess Isis πŸ’–. Located on a small island in the Nile, you need to take a ferry to get there 🚀 (be sure to negotiate the boat fare β€” don’t get overcharged!). The architecture blends ancient Egyptian and Greek styles beautifully. Tickets are sold at the pier 🎫, and it’s open from 8 AM to 5 PM. Best to visit around 3-4 PM to avoid crowds and enjoy the temple glowing in the sunset light πŸŒ‡. Afterward, we went straight for dinner. πŸ₯˜ Food Recommendations You can dine at Old Nubian Guest House Philae & Restaurant 🏑, located near the temple. The food is good and fairly priced. They provide free boat transfers, so you can save on the temple ferry ride! For dinner, try King Jamaica Restaurant & Cafe (Ayman Jamaica) β€” said to serve the best Egyptian food in Aswan πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¬πŸ‘‘. We weren’t disappointed! It’s also on an island with complimentary boat pickup/drop-off at the KFC pier 🚀. πŸ—Ώ Day 2: Abu Simbel Temple Built by Pharaoh Ramses II to honor himself and his wife πŸ‘‘β€οΈ. On specific days of the year, sunlight shines through the 60-meter-deep corridor to illuminate the inner statues β˜€οΈβœ¨. To visit Abu Simbel, it’s best to book a round-trip private car via inDrive or a travel agency in advance πŸš—. Depart around 8 AM β€” the drive takes about 3 hours. You’ll return by 4:30 PM, just in time for a relaxing felucca sunset cruise. πŸŒ… Nile Sunset Felucca Cruise You can book directly with boatmen along the Nile πŸš£β™‚οΈ. Prices range from 200–400 EGP per hour β€” don’t forget to bargain! Enjoy the most affordable romance on the Nile πŸ’–πŸŒŠ. #AswanTravel #EgyptTravel #AbuSimbel #NileSunset #PhilaeTemple #FeluccaSail #NileCruise πŸŒπŸ“Έ
