But La Madurada? It fixed that. Finally, a place where I ate my fill of meat and left grinning like a kid. š„³ Barcelona steakhouses have a fun quirk: They plop a hot grill right on your table. Want to crisp the edges a little more? Go for itāsearing those last 10 seconds yourself? Chefās kiss. š„ We ordered two cuts, and demolished the 1kg beast like it was nothing: Fresh PICANA: Solid, tender, but the real star was⦠FRISON DRY AGED 1KG š„©: Perfection. Dry-aged magic hereāsmoky, but not overpowering, with a depth that unfolds as you chew. Juicy? Dripping. Cut into it, and pink, glistening meat peeks through, juices pooling on the plate. š¦ Itās second only to that New Zealand spot I obsessed overāand thatās high praise. Tiny flaw? A fair amount of fat. Snapped it off (painful, I knowāimagine more meat! š) but even that didnāt dim the joy. By the end of 1kg+, no one felt greasy or stuffed. We were just⦠satisfied. Like, ālife is goodā satisfied. Pair each bite with a glass of red wine š·, and itās pure bliss. Think āEating through a breakupā levels of comfort, but betterābecause this is celebratory, not sad.
