What a painstaking review to write after the multiple good reviews this place has.
Pros: The steak and tiramisu was excellent.
Cons: Our waiter was horrendous. Service in general was horrendous, I would have prayed for at least a mediocre level of service, but it was below that. I came to celebrate a 30th and was disappointed. To start, it took our waiter 25 minutes to even acknowledge us while we sat awkwardly waiting for him to come. Afterwards, once we started to talk and order our wine, he just left mid conversation to fulfill other tables (i kid you not, happened 4 times throughout the course of the dinner". Took him 10 minutes to come back and continue the wine order. Then we placed our appetizer which was supposed to be the Calamari and instead he ordered the "Escalivada" for us which we didnt eat and was charged in our bill.
After we got our steaks, we had to flag down other waitresses for more fire. Lastly once we were done, we waited an additional 30 minutes before he came back so we can order dessert.
Worst service I've ever seen in all of Spain, (and in most restaurants I've been too)
Only giving it 2 stars because the food was great. Hopefully its better during other days, because for...
Read moreFirst off, I’m so glad I went out of the city for this experience. From the start, everything was fantastic. I wish I knew the blonde hostess’s name because she was so polite and welcoming; also, her outfit and look were on point.
Second, the wait staff was extremely attentive and made sure to be on top of everything, from drinks to clearing the table when needed. The espresso martini (which I forgot to take a picture of) was great. The amount of Baileys they add is not overpowering, and the espresso beans they use tasted perfectly roasted.
For a starter, we had the tartare, which was so fresh and perfectly seasoned, along with the burrata and pistachio salad. The salad was incredibly fresh, with the perfect ratio of dressing and pistachios to complement the quality of the burrata.
For my main, I got the 45-day dry-aged steak, which was cooked with a perfect sear and rare interior to allow for additional cooking on the hot rock they bring out, with extra salt to add for taste.
Overall, I would definitely go out of my way again to have this dinner. Our waitresses, Daysi and Yisela, were so warm and welcoming. On top of the fantastic food, they deserve all the praise for their hard work and...
Read moreSebastián was our server and he was amazing! As it was our first visit, he took the time to explain the entire menu along with his recommendations. He spoke very clear English. He recommended starting with the croquettes and the empanadas.
The empanadas with the chimichurri sauce were the best empanadas we have ever tried. We even ordered extra empanadas for takeaway. We tried several in Barcelona from the market and other highly recommended places and this restaurant by far has the most delicious ones. We enjoyed cooking meats on the stone: we tried to churrasco fresh meat and one of the dry-aged steaks. The passion fruit cava sangria was amazing as well! It was our favorite sangria we tried all week (and we had sangria at every restaurant). This was one of our overall favorite meals in Barcelona. We highly recommend if you enjoy meat, and we would definitely eat there again when visiting Barcelona.
They have very friendly and attentive service. The inside of the restaurant has beautiful decor and lighting. They also gave us edamame as a free starter, and dessert shots on the house to go...
