🇫🇷 A Day Trip to Limoges, France
Passing through Limoges, I decided to visit this town known as the "Jingdezhen of France." The city is compact, and all the major attractions are easily accessible on foot. In just one day, I walked 8 km and explored all the famous spots. A very leisurely city walk 🚶♂️, and of course, I tried the local specialty—Limousin beef. 🥩 Some iconic landmarks: Cathédrale St Etienne – A stunning Catholic cathedral that took 600 years to build. Stepping inside fills you with an inexplicable sense of peace. ✝️ Just left of the cathedral is the Jardin de l'Évêché (Bishop's Garden), filled with aromatic herbs, flowers, and plants. The garden has hidden pathways that keep revealing new surprises as you explore. 🌿🌸 Walking downhill from the garden, you’ll reach Pont St Etienne, an old stone bridge. The tranquil Vienne River flows gently beneath it, as if whispering that everything will pass—instantly putting your mind at ease. 🌉💧 When hunger strikes, head to the old town, especially around Rue de la Boucherie, where most restaurants serve delicious dishes made with the local beef. You really can’t go wrong here. The waitstaff were super friendly—knowing I was a tourist, they recommended fun places to visit and their favorite restaurants. Overall, the half-day city walk was a fantastic experience. 🌟 The only regret? Running out of time to visit the Limoges Porcelain Museum. 😔 #TravelMemories #LifeInFrance #ExploreFrance ✈️🇫🇷
