🇫🇷 A Day Trip to Limoges, France

Passing by Limoges and decided to visit this town known as the "Jingdezhen of France." The city is quite small, so all the attractions are easily reachable on foot. Walked 8km in total for the day and checked out all the famous spots. A very relaxed city walk 🚶‍♂️. Of course, I also tried the local specialty—Limousin beef 🥩. Some iconic landmarks: Cathédrale St Etienne – A Catholic cathedral that took 600 years to build. Standing inside, you’ll feel an inexplicable sense of peace ✨. Right outside the cathedral is the Jardin de l'Évêché (Bishop's Garden), filled with herbs, flowers, and plants 🌿🌸. There are even hidden pathways that make exploring the garden feel like discovering a new world. Walking down from the garden, you’ll reach Pont St Etienne, an old stone bridge. The tranquil Vienne River flows gently beneath it, as if whispering that everything will pass, instantly putting your mind at ease 🌊. When hunger strikes, head to the old town, especially the area around Rue de la Boucherie, where most restaurants serve dishes made with the local specialty beef—hard to go wrong here! The waitstaff were very friendly too. Knowing I was a tourist, they recommended fun places to visit and their favorite restaurants 🍽️. Overall, the half-day city walk was a fantastic experience. The only regret was not having enough time to visit the Limoges Porcelain Museum ⏳. #TravelMemories #LifeInFrance #FranceTravel ✈️
